MARCH IPSY/MYGLAM BAG 2013 (CANADA)

HEY ya'll, so this is going to be my last bag because let's be real, these subscriptions aren't worth my money and I can't just pay for random things in these bags. Plus, I get makeup bags when I buy beauty products with gifts so I don't need a bag every month. It really builds up... ANYWAYS OFF TO THE PICTURES OF THE BAG.

I actually really really like this bag. I love the anchor theme and apparently that's totally in this season! :P

It's kind of thin but it'll be nice to take around. I like the non boring bags because I think that having a little patter goes a long way! I just love prints!!!

This little palette was really neat! This was by GLAMRX and it can fit all kinds of pans and it's best for on the go because it's so tiny and it has a nice size mirror. This palette has a magnet on the bottom so any kind of magnetic pan would fit into this.

These were so cute! Little YABY eyeshadow pans. I really like neutral colors because that's what I mainly wear anyways but I really wished that I got that nice turquoise colour that I saw other people had. It's still nice though and it's perfect for the little GLAMRX palette.

I got the colours SEASHELL what is white peral colour and AZALEA PETAL which is kind of a maroon red colour. They are both nice colours but it's not the most pigmented colours and not worth that much hype.

LA FRESH travel-lite makeup remover wipes. I'm just going to save these until I need them on the go because I have the big bags of makeup removers so I don't need to use the little packages.

JUICE BEAUTY

HYDRATING SPRAY CERTIFIED ORGANIC

I don't like the SMELL! I like the fact that it's organic, but in business talk, there still could be toxic chemicals in here so whatever I don't believe that anymore. This is like a setting spray or could be used as a toner.

OVERALL
I think this month's ipsy bag was pretty cool. There are all these products that I would never buy myself or ever pick up at a store. I'm glad this is my last bag because I don't want to spend more money on items that I don't need. This is only good for blogging purposes!

UPDATE ON BEAUY BOX SUBSCRIPTIONS

SO........... I realize that I was spending way too much money on makeup and subscription boxes so I have decided to cancel the one and for all. They are pretty expensive considering what I get compared to what I ACTUALLY use from the boxes. I think that I'm just going to spend all that money on actual things I NEED and what I like and will actually use!

I used to be subscribed to GLYMM but they're not that good with the samples and I don't blame them, I just didn't want to waste unwanted products and money!

I just cancelled both IPSY and GLOSSYBOXES because I felt that they were both getting a bit much and that I hardly used any of the samples so what's the point? I can't just blog about beauty boxes all day right? I want to expand my blogging information to everyday, and life stories not just subscription boxes.

My last IPSY/MYGLAM bag will be March's and my final box for GLOSSYBOX will be April's because I will have enough points for a free box! :)

I can now sponsor a child in need or save the money for something else now! I'm actually quite happy with my decision!

IPSY/MYGLAM BAG FEBRUARY 2013 (CANANDA)

HELLO LOVELIES!

I have the Feb Ipsy/MyGlam bag to show all today! :)))

So here is what I got!

This month's theme was "GET THE RED CARPET READY"

I really enjoyed this months bag, even the bag! :D
It had full sized items and deluxe samples which I don't like as much as full sized (obviously) but it was nice to get try some things.

The Bag
- Black, shiny and pretty cute!

First Item
POP!beauty
Smoky Lash Kapow!!! in No. 1 Smoky Black - DELUXE SIZE

This is just like the old fashioned mascara. The brush is a normal looking bristles and goes on nice, but not as nice as others that I have tried.

Second Item
MICA Beauty Cosmetics
Gel Eyeliner in Black - FULL SIZE

I was just needing a new gel eyeliner and I received it in my bag this month. This is a really nice creamy eyeliner that stays on a very long time. It is very comparable to the M.A.C fluidline or the Bobbi Brown one. The real MICA beauty gel liners have a brush on the top of it but the one that we received in the Ipsy bag just has a cap and to be honest I like this one better! Retail price $30.00!!! :O

Third Item
PIXI
Flawless and Poreless Primer - DELUXE SIZE

I don't use primers because I don't use foundation everyday. When I tried this on my face, it went on smoothly and covered more of my pores. Overall, this is a good-priced, good-quality primer.

Forth Item
Coastal Scents
Sample Quad in "In the Spotlight" - DELUXE SIZE

I didn't like this quad very much because the little case is hard to use and it didn't have colors that I'd wear all the time except for two: Dark Goldenrod and Golden Globe. The matte color Sunbeam is useless because it won't go with many of the other colors. It was a nice sample though. I'm not a big fan of Coastal Scents eyeshadows because they have a lot of fallout and the color pigmentation is ok. Not GREAT, but ok quality.
Here are the SWATCHES!

Fifth Item
LASH CARD
Little pieces of cardboard to guard the lashes while putting on mascara or block fallout.

The lash cards are a great idea but I already have a little contraption that block the mascara from my eyelid and it's plastic and will last longer than these lash cards.

Hope you liked my post! :)

Your everyday spray for BIG volume! Spray & Play is a humidity resistant, flexible hold hairspray that provides fullness, lift and incredible shine! Perfect for all hair types.

I obviously got deluxe small version! ;)

I really enjoyed this month's Ipsy box but I wish that I had gotten the shading brush instead of this one. I also kinda wanted to get the red Nailtini nail polish instead of this cream one! But that's okay. I don't think that Ipsy is really personalizing our stuff because they are just sending us random things. I have no idea why they are even doing the personalization anymore...

All and all still great stuff! :)

IPSY/MYGLAM BAG DECEMBER 2012 (CANADA)

These are some of the goodies that I received in this month's Ipsy/Myglam bag! :)

Grey Metallic Pencil Case look-a-like

Mai Couture Highlighter Sheets
Supposedly you need to rip out a sheet and the wax paper has highlight powder on it. It seems odd to me but I've seen blush and contour sheet by the same company so I'm not surprised that they came out with highlighter sheets...
Retail for $28.00

Mirabella Face and Eye Primer
This kind of feels like the smashbox primer. It feels oily and when you put it on your skin you don't really know where the product went. But it will do the job if you're looking for something to make your foundation go on smoother.
Retail for $29.00

NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Pigment in Baby Pink Pearl
I personally don't like pigments that much because they are messy to handle, however it goes off great results. This is a really pretty highlight shade that will brighten up inner corners or add a little shine under the brow bone. It will be nice to have this little think in my makeup collection.
Retails for $4.99

Be a...Bombshell Lipgloss in Hot Mess
Very build-able lipgloss. Nothing out of the ordinary. Semi sticky and plain.
Retails for $14.00

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil in Zero
Very pigmented eyeliner and has a lot of hype. It's creamy but not as long lasting as people say they are, at least for me... It's a nice travel size eyeliner none the less.
Full Size Retails for $19.00

Left: Bombshell Lipgloss; Right: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Zero

November 2012 IPSY/MYGLAM Bag (Canada)

These are my ipsy/myglam goodies from november
(sorry for the delay)

S.a.l.t.y Cosmetics shimmering pigment
It has a reflective purple tone to it which is really pretty on its own.

Meet Matt(e) - Matt Batali eye shadow
This is a purple undertone completely matte eyeshadow that is form the Meet Matt(e) palette from theBalm. I think it's great for a contour colour or used as a settle eyeliner setter.

Eclos Plant Stem Cells Cellular Activator Face Serum

Benefit's They're Real Mascara (Delux)
Great mascara but this is not water resistant or waterproof so it will come off pretty easily even without any eye makeup remover

Starlet Cosmetics Eyeliner in Back
I personally don't use these pencil eyeliners anymore because I prefer to use gel eyeliner but it's nice to have around or thrown into a purse. This can be useful if you want and nice thick back to a smokey eye.

Left: Matt Batali; Right: Starlet Eyeliner in Black

Overall I enjoyed this months bag because it had a lot of the items from previous mygalm bags and new ones so it was nice to know that us Canadians were getting the same stuff.
This bag costs $9.95 and $4.95 for shipping because we live so far.

Here's the webstie for more information! :) IPSY
