MY VERY FIRST M.A.C LIPSTICK IN VEGAS VOLT

So I FINALLY got myself a MAC lipstick! WOOHOO!

I went to a CCO (Cosmetic Company Outlet) a couple week back and I just had to get something there.  They have great products for 30% department prices because they were discontinued or overstock items. The CCO carries brands that fall under the Estee Lauder brand so obviously Estee Lauder, M.AC, Bobbi Brown and Clinique. Sometimes they have other little brands but those are the major ones.

It was only $10.50! (US) There are more expensive drugstore lipsticks out there that aren't even as good! :O 

This is a really pretty pinky orangey color AKA CORAL! :D 

I don't know about you, but I AM OBSESSED WITH CORAL! Basically all of my posts have been about coral things because it's my fav at the moment! :) 

I think that M.A.C lipstick can speak for themselves and especially the cream ones. They are just so luscious and pigmented! This isn't a discontinued color so I'm sure there's still more of this elsewhere! This is a great Spring/Summer color!

KOREAN COSMETICS: TONY MOLY CAT CHU WINK LIPSTICK

Anyways, lately I've really just been loving lipsticks! They're just so great! Props to who ever invented lipsticks because I swear there are millions of shades and brands and tubes out there in the world of LIPSTICKS! Does anyone feel like a new obsession coming on? I DO! 

So. I love Korean cosmetics and everything that has to do with cute packaging so I ordered two of the Tony Moly Cat Chu Wink lipsticks. Wow, that was a hand full to read/say in my head! :P

I got it in TWO colors: Coral POP (because I'm OBSESSED with anything coral) and Pink Wink 

Let's just take a moment and admire how adorable this packaging is! LIKE WOW! SO CUTE! ^^

REVIEW TIME 

Aside from the adorably jaw dropping packaging, the formulation is pretty great for these lipsticks. I would consider them more of a balm type lipstick like Revlon Lip Butters but the Tony Moly ones are less greasy feeling. They have light color pigmentation so it's not really BAM! in your face coral or BARBIE pink. I feel like the colors are really subtle and looks natural. They enhance your lip colors a little big and leaves them feeling moisturized. I think that all Asian cosmetics are very subtle has this Dolly look to them. This is not for you if you enjoy the super dramatic clubbing makeup but this is DEFINITELY for you if you're more into the sweet summer dress out and about look! :)

SMASHBOX CAMERA READY BB CREAM

HEY YA'll!

I don't know why it took me so long to jump on the Smashbox BB cream wagon but I got on and I'm NEVER leaving! 

I picked this up the other day because one of my friends got this and was raving about it! As a person that can be easily influenced by other people's opinions, obviously I had to try it out for myself. I see a lot of Youtubers rave about this but I don't know why (actaully I do know why, it's the price) but I haven't gotten around to purchasing this until now. (Sorry for the crappy phone pictures, I get lazy sometimes, actually ALL THE TIME) 

There is 5 shades in the collection and I got the middle shade which is LIGHT/MEDIUM. I have a warm undertone so I thought I would be in MEDIUM but I am not which is fine because that one was too dark for me anyways. 

Side note: I am in the shade MEDIUM for the Maybelline BB cream so watch out. 

REVIEW: I ADORE this product. It's much better than all the other bb creams I've tried not including Korean ones which is the Maybelline one and the Garnier one. This beats them all HANDS DOWN! This leaves my face looking matte and has more coverage than all the other ones. This one is NOT runny and as liquid as the Maybelline one which once upon a time I used to love and enjoy before this BAD BOY came around. Now, I think that this is my favorite Western BB cream. I really like light coverage face makeup like BB creams and tinted moisturizers because they are lighter for my sensitive skin and don't feel heavy. 

BLAH BLAH BLAH, bottom line, this is a great product for people who are on the OILY side of the spectrum and want a good coverage BB cream!

KOREAN COSMETICS: THE FACE SHOP CUSHION BLUSHER

My orders came for some awesome Korean Cosmetics! I'm really excited because these are so so CUTE (packaging wise)!!!

Let me introduce myself first! Hi, I'm Leenie and I am a blush addict!!!

I love blushes of all shapes and colors and I definitely don't discriminate!

The Face Shop is a Korean cosmetic brand that makes anything from BB creams to lipsticks and everything in between. I'm not too familiar with Korean cosmetics that much but I have seen a lot of the products online so I just went ahead and got the cutest packaging because I am a SUCKER for packaging of course! :P

I got two of The Face Shop Cushion Blushers: Rose Cushion and Coral Cushion (because I am OBSESSED WITH CORAL)

REVIEW TIME 

DESPITE the fact that these blushes are in the cutest packaging, these were not my favorite blushes because they are not very pigmented. The swatches took forever for me to do because they just could not show up. The lasting time for these blushes are really short because they're really chalky so it rubs off really easily. 

10/10 for CUTE packaging! 

5/10 for the quality of the blush...

CLINIQUE GIFT WITH PURCHASE AT SEARS MAY 2013

IT'S THAT TIME AGAIN WHEN CLINIQUE HAS A GIFT WITH PURCHASE!

So I got an eye cream to get my gift and the eye cream was CAD $37.00. 

RANT: You know what's upsetting? In the states the eye cream is only sold for $30.00. Does Canada really need the prices to go up $7.00 for the stuff to get here? Come on people, this is just so sad because I live so close to the US! GAHHHH

Physicians Formula Gel CreamLiner DISCONTINUED?!?!?!

The saddest day of my life when I realized that my local drugstores are no longer carrying the Physicians Formula Gel CreamLiners! These are honestly my favorite gel eyeliners and despite the fact that they have little sparkles on them, they would out great and can last a very long time without smudging on my oily lids!

They come in threes, I think that PP has a thing for the number 3! All their products seems to be like that! I only really just use the black ones but they are just the nicest Gel Eyeliners EVER! Better than their drugstore competition Maybelline Studio Gel Eyeliner and DEFS better than the Estee Lauder eyeliner that I spent $25 on... What was I thinking?

If you can get your hands on it, I highly recommend it because these are long wearing, high pigmented, and has really funky colors that are GREAT for spring!

I have tried the trio for brown eyes and the one for Hazel eyes in the gold packaging and the only difference is that they have different color sparkles in them for the black formula. Other than that, the other two colors vary depending on which one you get. 

Well I think I'm just going to go cry in a corner because one of my favorite drugstore gel eyeliners is being discontinued... LOL jk I'm going to study for my FRENCH final now! :P

P.S. Check the discounted stores to get these. I found some at Winners which is the Canadian equivalent to a TJ MAXX or Marshalls in the states!

DRUGSTORE MAKEUP HAUL! MAYBELLINE PRODUCTS!

SO..... I've been really bad and bough more makeup that I will ever need in my life. BUT Wal-Mart was having such a great deal! A lot of the new Maybelline products were only $5.97 which was great because normally they would be over $10 bucks! And the nail polishes were only $2.50! :O

I honestly think I have problems with money. No amount of business classes could help me and I've taken 6! I guess I'll just have to deal with the fact that I will be alone and broke in the future! :(

LASTING DRAMA WATERPROOF GEL EYELINER IN BLACKEST BLACK 

So the first thing I wanted to try was the gel eyeliner! 

REVIEW:

I really like this because it's a dryer formula than most of the gel eyeliners that I've tried and it's just great for me because I have oily eyelids! :( When companies say something is waterproof and 24 hours, they're just hyping it up. This will definitely NOT last that long and it will smudge but that's all makeup right? I really like the brush of this but still prefer an angled eyeliner brush to put this kind of eyeliner on. The pigmentation is great and the formula is dry like I have stated before so this is GREAT! This was much cheaper than my Estee Lauder gel eyeliner and I prefer this over that one as well! 

MASTER PRECISE PEN EYELINER IN BLACK

REVIEW:

I really need to stop buying these pen form eyeliners unless they are waterproof or something. This is great and the pen IS really that thin but to be honest, I don't need a thin pen because I like thicker lines. This will DEFINITELY smudge if you don't put primer or matte-fy the eyelids ahead of time because when this touches water or oil, it will move in an instant. Cray cray right? I need to stop spending money on things like this. 

Next things I got was nail polish! I am obsessed with coral and mint green this spring/all year round so I decided to pick up only 2 from this Maybelline line. I actually controlled myself for once! 

REVIEW:

These polishes are really bright and the color you see is the color that goes on the nails. The color is really opaque and definitely can be built up with more coats. It's nothing professional and it WILL chip but it's nail polish and it was cheap so I didn't mine. I just love these two colors! 

I went ahead and got two of the Maybelline Vivids lipstick line because I've heard really great things about. GUESS what colors I got? Shocking Coral and Vibrant Mandarin of course! Any lip product that has the words coral or looks orangy, I am THERE!

REVIEW:

I LOVE these lipsticks. It's not dry on the lips and it has so shimmer. I think that a lot of companies are trying not put a lot of glitter and shimmer into their products because it gets too much for daily looks. I think that these are great colors that I would wear day to day! The color stays on for a reasonable amount of time before it starts to fade and I just like the way they apply. They have a good smell to it and doesn't taste waxy which I like. I hate those cheap lipsticks that smell and taste really bad. YUCK! 

There goes more money that I probably didn't have to spend on these products so yup there you go! 

It's funny because I know no one really reads my blog but it's nice to write to people, even if it's myself!  LOL I'm a loser, I know! :P

RIMMEL LONDON PURPLE TUBE LIPSTICK IN CORAL QUEEN

Omg I'm obsessed with coral if it wasn't clear enough. Today my friends and I went to the drug store and found Rimmel lipstick on sale for $3.99. I've always had my eye on this coral colour so I only limited myself to buy one and this was it! I'm so excited and can't wait to use it!!!

I apologize for the iPhone quality photos but I didn't feel like getting my SLR camera out! #LazyProblems lol ;)

I put the over my Earth Science textbook but it just didn't look right. LOL 

DROOL over lipstick, can this even happen? LOOOOL 

REVIEW: This lipstick is really moisturizing and the color payoff is GREAT! I love anything coral so I don't mind the brand. I do however thing that drugstore packaging is kind of cheap looking which is ok because the price is cheap but I really like the purple tubes of these lipsticks. I personally really like CoverGirl's packaging a lot!
