Benefit - Upgrade to Gorgeous Holiday Set Review

I got this little set for Christmas and love to share what it had inside! :)

I'm not sure about the price but it was only $30.00 to $40.00. Which is a great deal because one blush cost $28.00 and the High beam costs $26.00.

Here are the contents:

FULL SIZE HIGH BEAM
RETAIL - $26.00

This is a great liquid highlighter. It doesn't try too quickly so it's easy to blend. This product is great for that extra glow on the cheeks or on the nose bridge. There are a lot of product in here so it will definitely last a while. This product has a pink undertone so it it best suitable for everyone.

FULL SIZE SUGARBOMB BLUSH
RETAIL FOR $28.00

I am such a blush junkie and I'm so glad that this set came with this full size benefit blush. Not only are the packaging cute but the product is amazing as well. This blush has 4 sections of pinks and golds that can be used alone or swirled together make an awesome blend of sparkly flush toned colour. This is not a matte blush but it's nice for a summer glow in the dull winter days. It can be also used as a highlighter. Great overall blush indeed! :)

DELUXE SIZE THE POREFESSIONAL FACE PRIMER
Great little guy to have in your purse or go on travels with. This primer is great for that flawless finish because it covers up all the pores on the face and making them less noticeable.

DELUXE SIZE - THEY'RE REAL! MASCARA
Great mascara, however not waterproof or water resistance meaning that this will come off very easily. the brush is great because the tip is good for getting the bottom lashes and the rubber brush will separate the lashes nicely.

LAUGH WITH ME LEELEE EAU DE TOILETTE SPRAY
Such a great sent. I love flowery scents and this is the perfect blend of sweetness and warm aroma. If I even saw this by it self at a store, I will definitely purchase the full version of this! :)

Hope this was an in depth look-see of this little set! :)

IPSY/MYGLAM BAG DECEMBER 2012 (CANADA)

These are some of the goodies that I received in this month's Ipsy/Myglam bag! :)

Grey Metallic Pencil Case look-a-like

Mai Couture Highlighter Sheets
Supposedly you need to rip out a sheet and the wax paper has highlight powder on it. It seems odd to me but I've seen blush and contour sheet by the same company so I'm not surprised that they came out with highlighter sheets...
Retail for $28.00

Mirabella Face and Eye Primer
This kind of feels like the smashbox primer. It feels oily and when you put it on your skin you don't really know where the product went. But it will do the job if you're looking for something to make your foundation go on smoother.
Retail for $29.00

NYX Ultra Pearl Mania Pigment in Baby Pink Pearl
I personally don't like pigments that much because they are messy to handle, however it goes off great results. This is a really pretty highlight shade that will brighten up inner corners or add a little shine under the brow bone. It will be nice to have this little think in my makeup collection.
Retails for $4.99

Be a...Bombshell Lipgloss in Hot Mess
Very build-able lipgloss. Nothing out of the ordinary. Semi sticky and plain.
Retails for $14.00

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil in Zero
Very pigmented eyeliner and has a lot of hype. It's creamy but not as long lasting as people say they are, at least for me... It's a nice travel size eyeliner none the less.
Full Size Retails for $19.00

Left: Bombshell Lipgloss; Right: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil in Zero

November 2012 Glossybox Canada

These are all the goodies I got in my November Glossybox! Enjoy! :)

This month was to get us ready for Christmas! YAY!

1. NICOLE BY OPI KARDASHIAN KOLOR HOLIDAY SHADES
FULL SIZE 15ML/$10.99

My shade was in Kardashian Through The Snow! (Clever)

2. KRYOLAN FOR GLOSSYBOX BLUSHER IN GLOSSY PINK
FULL SIZE 2.5G/$16.73

This blush felt really nice and silky when on the skin and the colour does pay off. Being the blush junkie that I am I love any kind of blush and in any colour. This was really rich in colour and it was a nice MATTE bubblegum pink shade which made the product a whole lot better. To be honest, I don't it's worth the price on the cover but it is a nice product none the less.

3. NEXXUS SALON HAIR CARE: HYDRATION KIT
DULEX SAMPLES

I'm sure they are just trying to throw us something to complete their box. I personally don't like to get samples of shampoos and conditioners because I'm sure all of us have our own kind of favourite shampoo. However, these are nice to have when travelling or going to the gym!

4. VITABATH - 20% SHEA BUTTER HAND CREME
FULL SIZE 120G $15.00-$18.00

Why does the Glossybox people think that we are always in constant need of hand creams? Seriously, can't they find something better to give us because these creams are getting too old...

5. MAYBELLINE MNY MY GLOSS IN COLOUR 185
FULL SIZE 9ML/$7.49

No way in hell am I going to buy this tiny little gloss for 7 dollars at the store. I didn't even know that Maybelline had a MNY line. There are just so many nicer glosses out there that this one kind of seem pointless to buy. On a bright side, it is small enough just to through it in a purse or something!

Special Gift #1: CUREL HAND AND CUTICLE THERAPY CREAM
FULL SIZE 100ML/$3.99

Like I said before. Too many creams over these past Glossyboxes...

Hope you enjoyed this!

November 2012 IPSY/MYGLAM Bag (Canada)

These are my ipsy/myglam goodies from november
(sorry for the delay)

S.a.l.t.y Cosmetics shimmering pigment
It has a reflective purple tone to it which is really pretty on its own.

Meet Matt(e) - Matt Batali eye shadow
This is a purple undertone completely matte eyeshadow that is form the Meet Matt(e) palette from theBalm. I think it's great for a contour colour or used as a settle eyeliner setter.

Eclos Plant Stem Cells Cellular Activator Face Serum

Benefit's They're Real Mascara (Delux)
Great mascara but this is not water resistant or waterproof so it will come off pretty easily even without any eye makeup remover

Starlet Cosmetics Eyeliner in Back
I personally don't use these pencil eyeliners anymore because I prefer to use gel eyeliner but it's nice to have around or thrown into a purse. This can be useful if you want and nice thick back to a smokey eye.

Left: Matt Batali; Right: Starlet Eyeliner in Black

Overall I enjoyed this months bag because it had a lot of the items from previous mygalm bags and new ones so it was nice to know that us Canadians were getting the same stuff.
This bag costs $9.95 and $4.95 for shipping because we live so far.

Here's the webstie for more information! :) IPSY

Glossybox October 2012 Canada

My GlossyBox just arrived and I'm so happy to share it with you all! :D

So here's what I got in mine! Make sure to leave a comment or concern in the comment box so I know what everyone else got. Being SUPER nosy, I love to be in the know! ;)

This month's box was suppose to be $21.00 but because I was already a member I only had to pay the regular, but next month I will have to pay the $21.00! T.T

Overview

First Item

JOURVIANCE REJUVENATING ANTI-AGING CREAM COMBINATION TO OILY SKIN TREATMENT
Description - Extremely luxurious face cream, gently formulated to hydrate and increase the firmness of your skin.
50ml/$93.50 <-- :o=":o" nbsp="nbsp" p="p">
Impression
First of all, I AM 18 YEARS OLD! :O What the hell is Glossybox thinking with this product this month? I'm pretty sure that I don't need anti-aging stuff right now because my skin is still at it's prime! I don't have the best skin, but come'on... and the price! :O I would not pay almost $100 for this stuff. I mean I wouldn't even pay that much to buy it for my mom. My mom's creams go up to $60.00 MAX and she buys them from department stores. Tsk Tsk glossy box... but only for this item! ;)
Deluxe Size 5mL

Second Item

MODELCO FLIPSTICK LIP DUO
Description - SHINE Ultra Lip Gloss can be worn alone or layered over LIPSTICK Lip Couture for hours of unbeatable shine in a shade of perfect October Pink!
Special Edition: For GLOSSYBOX members only! $38.75

Impression
I don't like the colour very much. It's kinda coffee brownish colour which doesn't really go with my skin tone... The lipstick is in colour DUSK and the lipgloss is in colour STRIPTEASE (haha sounds like NARS names! ;) ) It has a cute little mirror but you can't even use it during the process of application so what good does it do? IDK!!! Oh don't get my started with the price. 40?!?!?!?! Are you crazy? Who would buy this? Not me... I rather spend my money on a cute YSL or Chanel lipstick if I had the choice...no offence or anything.

Left: LipGloss; Right: Lipstick

Third Item

ZOYA
Description - We hand-picked four of the prettiest pinks to represent the diverse women affected by breast cancer all over the world. TOXIN FREE! FULL SIZE!
15mL/$8.00

Impression
Full size nail polish, ZOYA, PINK! What could be better? So happy to get ZOYA nail polishes because I don't think that I can get them near me unless if I go over to good'old America!
I got the colour RORY! Super cute and super sparkly! :D Kinda like my other nail polish that two months ago called ZaZu or something...

Forth Item

SEBASTIAN PROFESSIONAL TRILLIANCE SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER
Description - Cleanses and polishes the hair surface to enable greater light reflection, creating goegeous natural shine.
Shampoo: 250mL/$15.79
Conditioner: 250mL/$16.59

Impression
I HATE getting shampoo and conditioner sets in these kind of boxes. I feel like they are so useless because I never use them unless I'm going on vacation or bring them to the gym. It's okay because it's a nice professional brand and my hair dresser says that I need to use more expensive things.. Those money sucking machines I tell ya...

Item Five

GILLETTE VENUS
Description - Venus & Olay: Boost your shave and help lock-in skin's moisture with the top-of-the-line in disposable razors! FULL SIZE!
$16.99

Impression
I love this. It couldn't hurt for a girl to have a nice working razor! This is really expensive too so I'm glad that I got it in this month's box! I love anything that gives moisture so this works out well :D

OVERALL
Didn't enjoy this box as much as my other ones but it will do for now. I really wish I got more makeup products because I love makeup, NO MORE LIP PRODUCTS! lol I hope that next month's box will amuse me more because I am paying $21.00 for it! :(

An Ode to the Cosmetic Industry

So I found this poem type thing somewhere that I don't even remember and I just thought it would be fun to share it with who ever comes across my blog, which is like 0. I'm basically typing this for myself. COOL! LOL
FOREVER ALONE ON THE INTERNET! ;) HAHA JKKK BUT NO REALLY...

HERE IT IS.

It’s often said that “Love is blind”;
If that were true, perhaps we’d find
We’d still be seen as beautiful, although we’re slightly older.
But research shows, a different truth—
That beauty’s seen in fertile youth—
So industries arise to fool the eye of the beholder.
It may seem cruel; it can’t be fair,
But flawless skin and shiny hair
Are hallmarks of attraction, so perhaps it’s no surprise
This aspect of biology
Gives rise to cosmetology—
A billion-dollar industry that’s based on telling lies

MIDTERM MADNESS and thinking about Nutella!

As october approaches, so do the midterms. You would think that because I'm an university student that my study habits are pretty great, well you certainly thought wrong. Because of university and all the things it has to offer, my study habits are WORSE! :O Oh my, there's wifi everywhere and lots more people to distract you. On top of all that, there's not one breathing down your back making sure that you're doing your work or studying. Boy, it's a rough life here. But the good thing about university is that there's lots to do and things to gain. Enjoy it! :)

I guess I'm just a bad student! :$

Here's a picture that I took in Belgium in a waffle cafe. They sold super big tubs of Nutella it was awesome. Even though I don't like a lot of chocolate and stuff like that, I still think that Nutella is delicious because of the hazel nutty flavour! Hehe, I'm weird I know! :P

My experience with Glymm Box/Bag

I've been seeing a lot of posts around about the Glymm box or now bag. I just want to share my opinion with everyone about my experiences with them. I have been a subscriber to Glymm for about 4 months before doing the switch over to GlossyBox. I found that even though Glymm was cheaper than GlossyBox, I wasn't getting as good of products as I did from Glossy.

Glymm has really obscure and unknown product brands that I have never heard of or will ever see in stores and a lot of samples were the bag ones and not a lot were deluxe or full sized.

Even though they advertise that Glymm is 10 a month, they're not telling you that the HST is added on to the price when you purchase your bow. This really blew because HST as you all know is 13% so it brought my total to $11.30 a month for a mediocre box. Meanwhile, Glossy is $15.00 and this includes tax and shipping making it only $3.70 more than Glymm. (Sorry about all the math) So it seemed like Glossy was clearly the way to go.

When  I tried to cancel Glymm, it took so much time that I had to pay for an extra box. Which I didn't want to do because that box sucked as per usual. Bottom line is that even though I give Glymm for trying I didn't really appreciate the extra money that I was spending on nothing.

Disclaimer: This is not an advertisement for Glossybox. This is simply my review on Glymm and comparison to Glossybox and how I feel about it. Thanks for reading.

September Glossybox Canada 2012

Hey ya'll! This is my first beauty related post! Yay for me!

So, this is my third glossybox and I am so excited to share it with everyone. This month was pretty great actually and I'd love to tell you what I got. So here it goes:

1. Wella Professional Mirror Polish Shine Spray (FULL SIZE) - 40ml/$16.99

Wella profesional Mirror Polish Shine Serum
2. B. Kamins Lip Balm SPF 20 (Deluxe Simple) - 15g/$21

3. B. Kamins Maple Body Lotion (Deluxe Simple) - 180ml/$41

Left - Body lotion; Right - Lip Balm

4. Dove Cleartone Anti-Perisprnit (TRAVEL SIZE) - 45g/$3.99-$4.99

5. NYX Cosmetics: The Crimson Amulet Collection. Limited Edition (FULL PALETTE) - $25
This was my favourite. This is my first ever palette! :O How cool is that? It has 24 shadows (shimmer, glitter and matte), mini HD eye primer, mini eyeliner, 5 blushes, 4 lip glosses and 1 highlighter. It has everything you need for a full face. (That is if you don't wear foundation LOL)

Second page of palette.

Top part of eyeshadows. Very bright and vibrant colours.
Bottom half; mainly neutral colours.

I hope you enjoyed my first picture blog! I hope I showed everything I was suppose to show! :S

Disclaimer: All these photo are taken by me. All products mentioned are from glossybox which I purchase of my own money every month. This is not a sponsored post. Thank you.

Oh, Hey there! Welcome to my Blog! :)

Let me first introduce myself. My name is Leenie and I am a dreamer. I get my inspiration from the things around me and I love to be weird and quirky. Basically I started a blog was just to express myself in ways that I couldn't do in person and probably couldn't in front of people that I knew. I feel like I have lots to say and lots to show everyone and I just need to find the audience for that. What better way to want someone to hear you out than through the internet? I basically like really random things and will show you them on this blog. I will have beauty related things, girly things, random life rants and much more. I just love being unique and being myself. Thank you for reading this post. Feel free to leave a comment or just to say hello! :)))
